Welcome to the website of Marina “De Maas”
In the dutch countryside, near the scenic rivervillage of Alem, a friendly old town on the river Meuse, is siuated our beautiful, peaceful marina. Alem is a village on an island where allotment has not taken place and where nature’s beauty is still ever present. You can walk around the island in approximately one hour. Our marina is part of the province of Gelderland.
Your daily grocery shopping can be done in Rossum, for other purchases you can go to Kerkdriel or Zaltbommel, both at about 6 km away. The bus stops every hour in Alem from where you can go to Kerkdriel, Zaltbommel or Den Bosch.
Seen the fact the marina is situated just below the lock at Van Lith, there are no more locks on the Meuse/Maas. At the Hollands Diep, you meet the lock of Willemstad when going to Zeeland. In the vicinity of the marina are beautiful lakes with little islands and beaches and you will find many beautiful villages and towns along the Meuse/Maas. From the lake where our marina is situated, you can sail through the lock at St. Andries onto the Waal river. From there it is approximately 1.5 hours to sail to Tiel (via the Amsterdam-Rhine canal). Heading downstream you can be in Gorinchem in approx. 1.5 hours.
We offer 250 berths at our full service and hospitable marina. Many amenities are available. In case of malfunctions or technical problems, we can be of service to you. Should you want to buy or sell a boat you've come to the right place.
Our bar-restaurant is open all year, where you can have a snack or a drink. On a nice sunny day you can enjoy our large outdoor terrace. For parties and barbecues we also take reservations.
